Entry 1
CATS
I've never understood
why women love cats. Cats are independent,
they don't listen, they don't come in when
you call, they like to stay out all night, and when they're home
they like to be left alone and sleep.
In other words, every quality that women
hate in a man, they love in a cat.
1. Rhetorical devices:
-
Simile:
the man and cats have same qualities.
-
Paradox:
woman loves cats which have qualities like man but they hate man.
2. Message: woman hates man’s qualities.
Entry 2
“I LOVED YOU”
-
Puskin -
I loved you: and, it may
be, from my soul
The former love has
never gone away,
But let it not recall to
you my dole;
I wish not sadden you in
any way.
I loved you silently,
without hope, fully,
In diffidence, in
jealousy, in pain;
I loved you so tenderly
and truly,
As let you else be loved
by any man.
1. Rhetorical devices:
-
Rhyme:
soul – dole, away – way, fully – truly.
-
Repitition:
I loved you.
-
Simile:
As let you else be loved by any man.
2. Message: Describing a desperate
love and a melancholy tune, the poem
shows a vehemence and magnanimity of people’s heart with a non-resultful
love.
Entry 3
PHOTO
1. Rhetorical devices:
-
Simile: the race
between the rich and the poor.
-
Symbol: Graduate
symbols of people who study well but are still poor; the man sitting in the car
symbols of the rich
-
Antithesis: the
rich >< the poor
2. Message:
Be not proud why you’re poor but excillent; however, ask yourself why you’re
excillent but still poor.

in general, your entries are all interesting meaningful. However, in my opinion, it will be better if you spend some time considering my following comments:
Trả lờiXóa-with the first entry, it doesn't use any simile words, so i think it should be metaphor (cat's quality- man's quality) there. And i think the message must be "women should love a man like they love their cat"
-the second entry also uses parallelism ("In diffidence, in jealousy, in pain"). in addition, i should think the last sentence uses paradox (the boy loves the girls very much, but he still lets her be chased after by another one), instead of simile. (i think "as" is not a simile word in that context)
-about the last entry, the link you supply seems not to be the original. Besides, it also uses metonymy (the vehicle _ the quality of life). furthermore, i reckon the message should be " the social injustice between the rich and the poor".
Anyway, thank you so much for sharing!:)
